This model is relative heavier than a full scale WEC and because of that it needs extra floating pontoons. Theese are the white polystyrene plates that the WEC is standing on in this photo. The last few kilos of buoyancy are comming from the black pipes which independently can be filled with air. In this way it can be controlled how deep the WEC shall stick in the water.

The grey tubes are fitted with a electronical devices that meassure how deep the WEC sticks in the water.

On a full scale WEC the extra floating pontoons will not be needed.
